tutorial #2 (creative title eh?)
In this tutorial you will learn how to emphasize the colours on an icon. This tutorial uses mostly fills and blending changes.

I know this is a horrible example but you will find out how to make your images turn from this:

into this:

First, find an icon base or make one. I'm using this one where you can find here on this site:
Step 1: Make a new Fill layer with the colour #9c0629 (or the image below) and change the Blending Mode to Saturation.

Now it should look like this:
Step 2: Make another Fill layer with the colour #2264b2 (or the image below) and change the Blending Mode to Exclusion.

After the Blending Change, it should look like this:
Step 3: Now make another Fill layer with the colour #f3f07e (or the image below) and use difference as the Blending Mode.

We're almost done and it should look like this:
Step 4: So, now duplicate the background and change the Blending Mode into Lighten. It should look like this now:
Step 5: This is the last step. Make another duplicate of the background and and use Hard Light as the Blending Mode. It should look like this now:
